September TBR – 2017

monthly tbr

September is the month where dreams are made, happiness is found, and peace is attained. Okay, well, maybe not but THERE ARE SO MANY INCREDIBLE RELEASES for this month, I can barely contain myself. Obvs, I didn’t fill my entire September TBR with the new releases bc where’s the fun and challenge in that.

That being said, please don’t hold me accountable if I don’t read 90% of the books mentioned here, I’m just a smol child doing her best.

    1. Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire25526296
Everyone needs a list of relatively short thriller books for when you can smell the slump coming on. I’ve only heard good things about this book and i’m breaking out my magnifying glass and Sherlock Holmes hat for this one.
    2. What I Lost by Alexandra Ballard31145120I absolutely adore this cover omg, it’s making me hungry just looking at it but I’m actually even more interested in seeing how eating disorders and mental health are represented in the book.
    3. Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls 51HWn+LRX1L._SY346_
Why does this sound SO EPIC??? Let’s relive our childhood days and read them as bedtime stories, how cute.

Wonder Woman Book Tag

Thank you so much to Danielle @lifeofaliterarynerd for tagging me. You should totally check out her blog bc it’s awesome.

In celebrating the release of Wonder Woman (the movie) and the coming release of Leigh Bardugo’s Wonder Woman: Warbringer (Aug 29) which I’m DYING to get my hands on, we’re all gonna do this super fun tag while we wait.

Wonder Woman: Your favorite badass female book character

That would have to be, Inej Ghafa from the Six Of Crows duology by the Queen herself, Leigh Bardugo. This kid can climb, burning walls and hide from shadows, there ain’t nothing cooler than captain Ghafa.

Fantasy Island: A Book Setting you want to escape to

AAAAAHHHHHH! This was so difficult to choose, not only bc most of my favourite worlds are the one where there is a super evil dictator instilling chaos and bloodshed in the streets, but also bc I want to live in all my favourite books and be best friends with all my favourite characters.

Anyways, my choice would be the Lunar Chronicles (post Winter, if I can have any say in it) bc its one of my ABSOLUTE favourite series of all time and like living on the moon people, it doesn’t get much better than that.
