tuesday top 10s final

i’m so behind on blogging and interacting with y’all i honestly feel bad but december’s been kinda weird (not bad weird) and i haven’t been feeling like blogging much (which is a TRAVESTY bc i had so many december “end-of-the-year” posts I MENTALLY planned – i’m even disappointing myself wow)

BUT ANYWAYS, here’s a quick post on my top 10 reading/writing goals for 2019 (they’re 99% reading oriented and 110% a hot mess)

  2. I would recommend you read a book by
ΨΉΨ¨Ψ― Ψ§Ω„ΩˆΩ‡Ψ§Ψ¨ Ψ§Ω„Ψ³ΩŠΨ― Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΩΨ§ΨΉΩŠ, his books are fast-paced, well-done, easy to read and get through. After reading his books, I started reading a lot more Arabic. This year I have read 14 while last year I read none. Btw he writes short stories and they are usually Sci-fi. ❀

  5. Ah best of luck on your goals for next year! Reading a book outside of English sounds so hard I can’t even. I actually had the same read a classic a month goal and I failed it miserably and I’m not sure whether I should try again in 2019? Also please read all of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s backlist if you haven’t already because omg they’re amazing! Happy reading, May! ❀

Ooooh, in regards to your classics goal, I would recommend picking up a Jane Austen book, particularly Pride & Prejudice! And ooooh, for your memoirs goal, I recommend trying graphic memoirs if you haven't before! I just read 2 great ones: El Deafo by Cece Bell and Marbles by Ellen Forney.

And for your writing goals: YOU GOT THIS!!! I can't wait to hear about all that you'll write! 😊

Yess, you can never eat too many fries! πŸ˜‰

  10. ahhh i love all of these goals!!!!!! I’LL BET YOUR WIP IS SO RIDICULOUSLY GOOD????? your reading tastes are superior and you’re blog writing is superior and over you’re a superior human c: c: c:

i especially love the one classic every month goal, i haven’t read a classic novel is SO LONGG?? it’s become v sad, i still haven’t read Mansfield Park and there is so excuse for my poor decisions that have led me here lsdkjf

also with fantasy I fail every time, i’m a failure forever and ever

+++++++++DELICIOUS FRIES!!! i want to eat more pizza, my pizza intake has been so poor. In fact, my everything intake has been poor, I’ve been living on bananas and chicken flavored ramen noodles. No one feeds me properly!!!!!!!! MY IRL FRIENDS ARE SO LOW QUALITY.

    1. THANK YOU!!! oh hush, you. my WIP is as much of a mess as i am, which is to say, a lot. YOU’RE the superior human here, have you seen your blog??? basically blogging perfection. ❀ ❀

seriously im just reading classics so i can pretend to be a fancy, well-read lady who sips tea with my pinky up (i could NEVER pull that off) but here's to hoping!!

NO!!! THIS IS A TRAGEDY!! SOMEONE FIX THIS ASAP!! you need a PIZZA AND FRIES (extra greasy goodness and salt to make up for all the lost time) IMMEDIATELY!!

  11. Ohh, classics, high fantasy books, and self-help books- your reading goals are so good! I haven’t read that many classics, but I read a few this year. Farenheit 451, Catcher in the Rye, Catch-22, and Emma. Emma was my favorite out of those and one of my favorites of the year. At the end it got SO GOOD. Besides Sanderson, are there any specific books in mind that you have for each category? My favorite high fantasy books are The Divine Cities (they’re by Robert Jackson Bennet, he also had a new book come out). THEY ARE SO GOOD. And I’m guessing you’ve heard of The Name of the Wind? Oh my goodness, horror and thriller books are about as far out of my comfort zone as I can get, and I think I’m want to keep it that way. Hahaha, more fries

    Liked by 1 person

    1. ahh thank youuuu! I read Farenheit 451 this year too and i surprisingly really enjoyed it though i think the audiobook format ruined it for me (slightly, but i am planning a reread for it)

sanderson is the main books i want to conquer but YES GIVE ME THE RECS! i’m going to add those books to my tbr this instant, thank you so much!

hahaha, for sure! horror seriously freaks me out so i tend to stay away from them, but maybe we’ll be adventerous next year πŸ˜‚
there’s never enough fries. thank you so much for your comment ❀

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Oh no, what was wrong with the audiobook format? I enjoyed it more than I thought I would too. I think it was because I wrote random notes in it for myself, which helped me notice things I would never have otherwise.
AHH YAY I HOPE YOU LOVE THEM. You’re welcome! Haha, I honestly think I get the better end of the deal- recommending books you love is definitely as good as receiving recommendations.
Haha, I hope the adventure ends very well!
I agree about the fries. :)) You’re welcome!

        1. i’m not sure if it was the copy my library had but it was so unclear and the narrator ate up a lot of words, i had to replay certain parts over just to understand rip. but i definitely want to give it a try in physical bc i think it’ll click with me better
thank youuuu! i hope your 2019 is fantastic ❀

    1. thank youuuu!! i agreeee, sanderson books are so intimidating but so satisfying to finish. good luck with your goals, youre going to do amazing!

  12. Wow, eating more fries as a goal is something I completely and wholeheartedly agree with. That should a goal on everyone’s list. It’s probably the only goal on my list that I’ll actually accomplish but haha let’s not get to that.
I don’t have many concrete goals when it comes to reading because my thinking usually goes like -> “hmmm this sounds good, should I abandon all responsibilities and chores to read this in one sitting and regret my existence later? Why, absolutely.” It’s pretty great.
I do, however, want to start reading comics this year. Maybe the og Marvel/DC stuff because I need myself to get even more nerdy, ofc lol.

    1. eating fries is the most important goal of 2019 and i will support you on this wholeheartedly
sis, youre living the real life, none of us actually followed structured tbrs or our ‘goals for the year!!!” it’s just a ploy to feel like we’re being responsible adults (we’re not)
I LOVE THAT IDEA!! and i demand that you keep us updated on your comic journey so i can get recs from you hehe

  13. I love the High Fantasy goal, you’re going to love Sanderson, his books are epic. I also love your reading out of your comfort zone goal – that’s something that I really struggle with so I might have to pick up a cookbook in 2019 too πŸ˜‚ I hope you fulfill all of your goals – can’t wait to see how 2019 treats you with these! 😊

I think it’s awesome that you’re planning on reading more classics and high fantasy! If you haven’t read it, might I recommend A Tree Grows in Brooklyn?

Anyway, I hope you achieve all of your 2019 goals! It sounds like you’re going to have a great year! (:

Anywaaaaaaaay, your goals are great! ❀ You're so brave for trying to read 10 high fantasy books, I'm always so intimidated by them, including Sanderson's books. I can't help it if they are so huge and I have little to no time 😦
I hope you manage to read a book in Arabic, I'm crossing my fingers for you!!! ❀
Probably reading something out of my comfort zone is going to be a goal for me as well!
